Normalize normal behaviors part 2:

Sniffing of private parts! We can not say this enough but dogs sniff each other’s private parts to gather information. In the dog world, this is not a rude behavior and if anything it is the polite and proper thing to do. Dogs need to gather this information in order to have positive and balanced interactions with other dogs. We like to compare not letting your dog sniff other dog’s private parts to skiing on a powder day without goggles. You can still gather a little information, but not enough to perform your best and it makes things more stressful than they need to be. So people, please just let them sniff! #positivereinforcement#fearfree#normalizenormalbehaviors#dogtrainingsteamboat#dogtraining
