We'll also continue developing your handling skills, timing, and understanding of dog behavior so you can confidently navigate everyday situations with your dog.Dogma's Level 2 class also prepares teams for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. Dogma Canine Training can administer the CGC evaluation upon completion of the course or whenever you and your dog are ready. This class focuses on creating reliable skills you can use in daily life, not just in the classroom. Full vaccinations required.
Level 3
Price | Day | Time $250 | Thursday | 5:30pm Level 3 is a five-week seasonal course offered from late spring through early fall for dogs 1 year and older who have successfully completed Dogma's Level 2 class or have instructor approval. This class is designed to take your training beyond the classroom by building reliability in real-life environments while maintaining strong performance with minimal food reinforcers. We take your training to the streets of downtown Steamboat Springs, where you'll practice applying your dog's foundation skills while putting your own handler skills, knowledge, and ability to navigate everyday life as a team to the test. We'll work on advanced loose leash walking and heel around distractions, extended stays in public, polite greetings, settling in busy environments, leaving tempting items alone, and confidently navigating dog-friendly businesses and community spaces. At the end of the course, teams will complete a practical skills assessment modeled after the Canine Good Citizen Urban (CGCU) test or a Public Access Test (PAT), making this class an excellent stepping stone for dogs working toward therapy or service dog goals. The assessment is designed to be completed with minimal to no food rewards, reflecting real-life performance. Dogma Canine Training is also happy to administer the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test upon request. Full vaccinations required.
